Gates Of Moria--Lord OF The Rings: The Two Towers

Have to fight my way to the Gates Of Moria. Had Gimli with me as we fought a bunch of Orcs(or are they Goblins) Not sure.), including some archers. was going fine till I got to the swamps, which slowed me down. not because of the number of enemies, but because the water slows you down. Made it through and had to fight the Watcher. Defended against it's tentacles and fired arrows at it's head to defeated it. Once it was dead, it was time to enter Moria.

I got 24 Fair, 29 Good, and 6 Excellent. I earned 6560 Upgrade Points and a mission rating of Good.I also bought Rush Attack, Isildur's Swift Terror, and Ranger Fury.

Weathertop--Lord OF The Rings: The Two Towers

Ok, so I had to play as Aragorn during this level. Kind of forgot about that. After arriving at Helm's Deep and as the armies of Isengard approach, he remembers the events that led to the battle Of Helm's Deep, starting with the fight against the Nazgul on Weathertop.

Kind of a fun level. All i could use was Fierce Attacks because those allowed me to use the torch. a few hits and they ran away on fire. The problem is every once in a while the torch would go out so I had to keep relighting it with the campfire. Eventually I defeated them, after the Witch-King Of Angmar. Afterwards Aragorn took Frodo to Rivendell, where he recovered and the Fellowship was formed.

I got 2 Perfect, 2 excellent, and 1 Good. I earned 5000 Upgrade Points and a mission ratting of Perfect. I also reached Level 2

Now I'm going to play as Aragorn.

Prologue--Lord OF The Rings: The Two Towers

Yeah. A Tutorial level. I got to play as that greedy punk Isildur. basically I hacked and slashed at orcs for a while during the final battle on the slops of Mount Doom (also known as the final battle during the Siege of Barad-Dur, if you will allow me to get my nerd on for a moment) right before he grabbed the hilt of Narsil and cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand. Not much to say here. I got 15 goods, 14 fairs, 563 Upgrade Points and a rating of Good.

Not to start the real game. Think I'm going to play as Aragorn.

I don't think I've ever been more psyched about a Smackdown game then I am about Smackdown VS Raw 2009. I'll get to the main reason last, because it's the one I'm most excited about, but first the other reasons.

First there will be Downloadable Content to keep things up to date. It hasn't been confirmed, but I'm guessing this will range from minor changes such as hair color (like if Shelton Benjamin stopped dying his hair) tattoos, and ring attire, all of which could easily be changed anyways, to more major stuff like face and heel turns (C.M. Punk turning heel for example) new moves and entrances, and even new wrestlers (in case someone like "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson were to sign with WWE) Although I doubt they would remove someone if they quit or died. Unless it was something like Chris Benoit. They probably would remove him if he had been in this version. they did it last year, and took out all his signature moves so you couldn't even create him accurately. Another thing they are will be including is "special events in game based on what's happening on the show" What that means is any one's guess, but it still is exciting.

Second is some of the new stuff. The Wii version will allow custom entrances and poses, using the Wiimote and chuck to customize them each time. Much like Danielson tries to end each match a different way, you could walk to the ring and celebrate each win a different way. The DS version will have more RPG elements, allowing you to walk around back stage, start different story lines, get missions, ect. I might actually have to get that version this year too.

Since it's been announced the Create-A-Finisher mode was the part I was most excited about, at least until today. It will be pretty limited, only allowing finishers that can be exacted when face to face with your opponent and will only be able to include 10 out of 500 animations, but it is a good start and THQ has said that they will improve it in future versions.

The part I'm most excited about is an increased emphasis on Tag Team wrestling. I've been a fan of tag matches for a long time so this is very exciting for me. Matches will me more realistic, with hot and blind tags included, and your partner will have more to do while you're in the ring, like pulling down the top rope or holding your opponent while you punch him. They will also have a co-op story mode for tag teams, more tag teams will be included (I'm guessing on that one) and, while I can't confirm this one, I'm guessing they will be showcasing the (rather weak) tag team roster on the real shows as a way to help promote the game. Even if it is only a few months of focusing on tag teams, that is better then nothing.

Flute Of The Growlin' Goblin--Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure

This was a fun level. Had to get the treasure from a group of Cannibals. First I moved a big rock, went over and got some Coconuts, dropped it down the hole left by the rock onto a snake. The snake chased away the chef, who dropped his ladle. I grabbed a Sleeping Mushroom and dropped it into his pot, turned the snake into the Slither Gripper, used it to get the Iron Ladle, and ran the dinner bell. After they all fell asleep, I got the Grownlin' Goblin flute, used it to turn off the flames around the treasure, and got the next part of Barbaros.

In this level I got the Neid Archer, the Growlin' Goblin Flute (looks like a Wiimote), the Sleeping Mushroom, the Coconut, and the Iron Ladle, giving me 11 treasures in all. I also got 120000 HQ points and got Unpuzzleable for the level. I have a total of 375000 HQ points and am a Common Pirate Apprentice.

Pit Of Tragedy--Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure

Met the rest of the Sea Rabbits and went to the next location in the Jungle Ruins. After some exploring I found some gold pieces, encountered a snack that I turned into the Slither Gripper, found the Ruins Key, entered the ruins, set off the trap so I could get across, and got the treasure.

I got the Ruins Key, Slither Gripper, and Son Son. I also found the Elend Bracelet. My HQ was 55000, I was Incredible and I now have 5 Treasures, keeping me at the rank of Ordinary Pirate Rookie.

A Journy begins--Zack & Wiki : Quest For Barbaros' Treasure

Yeah! A tutorial level!

For once it was kind of fun because of all the different ways you use the Wiimote.

After getting attacked by an rival group of Pirates called the Rose Reds, I had to abandon the plane I was in and used an old umbrella to glide down to an island. once there I used Wiki to turn a Centipede into the Centi-Saw, cut down a tree, and got my first treasure; Barbaros' skull. He said that if I could put him back together, he would give me his ship, so it's off to find his body.

I gathered the Old Umbrella, the Centi-Saw, and Barbaros' Skull. My treasure count is 2, my HQ is 400000. I was Unpuzzleable and am currently an Ordinary Pirate Rookie

Lock Halloween Town--Kingdom Hearts

Finally a good level to hopefully erase the memory of Atlantica from my mind. Turns out Jack and Professor Finklestin are working on making a heart to control the Heartless. So after getting the Mayor's surprise and Sally's memories, we tried to make it work, only for Lock, Shock, and Barrel to show up and steal the heart for Oogie Boogie.

After fighting through Halloween town, we made it to Oogie's manor, fought our way up it, defeated Lock Shock and Barrel and then it was time to fight Oogie. That was a tough battle until I figured out how to get to him. after that it wasn't that hard. Defeated Oogie and got out, but then he grew to super size. fought my way up his body and destroyed the dark orbs to defeat Oogie Boogie once and for all. With Halloween Town locked it's on to Neverland.

Mega Man 9 Intro!

For those who have been living under a rock, Mega Man 9 comes out in September, bringing the series back to it's 8-bit roots! (Speaking of it's roots, Check out the craptacular "box art". At least they gave him an arm cannon this time and made him look cooler then last time. Got to love the retro MM1 style "box art.)

Obviously I'm excited. I've been a fan of the Blue Bomber for years and can't wait to play a new game featuring him. It's been 10 years since we last saw the original Mega in action (5 if you count Mega Man & Bass, which is a side story and was ported to GBA in 2003) which makes that line in the intro about Mega not doing this in a while so much funnier.

It's cool that the game is being released on all three networks at the same time, and it should be interesting to see what, if any, differences there are in the different versions. We know that the 360 version will have achievements, and I have heard that something like that will be in the Wii version as well. It's also cool that we are getting our first Robot Master that is officially a woman (in case the name Splash Woman wasn't a give away) There have been female bosses in the past, but never in the original series and never with the word Woman in their name.

One thing I am concerned about is how well it will do. Obviously old school gamers like myself will get it, but since many of us have hung up our controllers, it should be interesting to see how many younger gamers will buy it. If they are true gamers, they will; if they are like my three older nephews and think it's all about graphics and that no good games were released before the XBox came out, then this may be the last entry in the great series.

Lock Atlantica--Kingdom Hearts

I hate the Little Mermaid. I hate this level, with the Little Mermaid. In fact the only thing about The Little Mermaid that I like is the game for NES and the song "Under The Sea." But after spending so much time in this stupid level, I don't want to hear it for a long time.

Fought my way through till I got to Triton's palace, explored a ship wreck, fought Ursala a couple of times (tons of fun both times. had more fun getting teeth pulled) and sealed the world.

Might come back when I can activate the white Trinity signs. Till then it's on to Halloween Town. Worth putting up with this stupid level. Barely.

Chapter 3--Code Lyoko

X.A.N.A. got every one's cell phones taken away in the hopes that Jeramey couldn't be able to contact the other Lyoko Warriors if he was causing trouble. With a little help from Jeramey, Odd managed to get them. the Warriors went to Lyoko, fought a hard battle in the Mountain region, and deactivated the tower.

I'm going to start listing completed goals in what is now the "Current Goals" section as I beat them, and the games int he "Now playing" section are the ones I am playing as I beat these goals. both lists will be reset each month. Into The Machine--Sly Cooper And The Thievious Raccoonus

The Second Chapter of Tide Of Terror

That was one hot level. Sorry, with all the furnace doors I had to close I couldn't resist. Fought more of those hammer-wielding and fire-spitting enemies and fought my way through the engine of Sir Raleigh's ship to get the next key and Sally Cooper's roll move.

I'm going back to the first part of Tide Of Terror to do the Master Thief Spring, then I'll do the one for this level before moving on to the next level.

A Stealthy Approach--Sly Cooper And The Thievious Raccoonus

Turns out the first part of the Thievious Raccoonus is in Wales, in the hands of Sir Raleigh, a frog born to a rich family who turned to crime out of boredom and became the Fiendish Five's chief machinist. He even created a weather machine that keeps it raining all the time and resulted in the creation Welsh triangle.

Another easy level, basically a continuation of the tutorial in the first one.fought a few enemies, gathered clues and coins, and snuck past security. Managed to discover the first page of the Thievious Raccoonus, containing Drake Cooper's dive attack.

On to the next level. I have the Master Thief Sprint left to do, but I will wait till I learn the roll move to do those.
