The Iceman's Game Journal

After seeing Tim's Game Diary, I started this blog to give me some incentive to actually finish some of the 461+ video games I have (of which I have finished 41.) Hope it works.

I HAVE A 360!!!!!!!!

Name says it all. Was going to wait till black Friday to get one, but I checked on Ebay just for the heck of it and found an Elite with everything (except the head set) and 4 games; GTA4, Forza motorsport 2, Crackdown, and Assassin's Creed. since i wanted all but Forza and it was at $255 when I found it, I figured what the heck. give it a shot.

turns out, by some miracle I won the thing!!!!! Ended up paying $295 (plus $4 shipping, so about $300. ordering if the s&h is a typo but oh well, that's what was advertised.) At that price, I can buy a head set or use the one for my phone since I have enough to buy an Elite from Walmart right now, which means I have a hundred more then I need :)

I'm planning on buying Dead Rising and maybe a couple other discount games so I will still use that, but who cares. I have an Elite!!!!!!!! and 4 more games (I bought Prey and Conker's Bad fur Day (xbox) at City wide garage sales.) meaning I will have 7+ games by the time I get the thing :)

Update: Almost forgot about the other auction I was bidding on. Ended up getting Halo for .99! total cost with shipping $4.99! I love going on EBay at 3 in the morning. rather easy to win auctions that way :)

Aranos--Ratchet And Clank: Going Commando

Woke up in a cell that looked nothing like the video advertised it to be. WHERE IS MY VEGETARIAN MEAL!?

Anyways, a girl-bot showed up and lead Clank out of the cell. He then fought his way to the controls that released the force field holding Ratchet in the cell.

Switching between Ratchet and Clank, I fought my way through the ship until they met up in the hanger bay, but the ship was behind a force field. While trying to find the switch to turn the force field off, I found the Plumber. He sold me a Captain Qwark action figure he took out of the drain and said "see you in another year or so" (Foreshadowing to Up Your Arsenal)

After working my way through large amounts of Lava (Why do they have lava on their ship) I made it to the control room where I got a message from Angela. She found out how to stop the protopet, but was captured after doing a terrible cat impersonation. Fortunately Clank was able to get the location of the Thugs-4-less fleet. Next stop, Gorn (Hope there are no lizards to fight.)

I found a new went during this level, and I took the Qwark action figure back to the Qwark Fanboy on Todano to get the Armor Magnetizer

Boldan--Ratchet And Clank: Going Commando

Looks like Thugs-4-Less is working for Megacorp, who want to protect Fizzwidget from Ratchet and Clank. That means I'm still going to have to deal with them even though Angela is on my side now.

Once I got to Silver City I had a problem. the main entrance was blocked by a force field. So I had to navigate the Hyper-Expressway using the Levitator, fly through machinary and an electrically charged tunnel to turn the force field off.

Then it was off to explore the city and find Fizzwidget. After fighting through a bunch of Thugs-4-Less Elite Henchmen and Class 2 Brutes I found an Armor Vendor and bought the Duraplate Armor

After that I got to walk around on the outside of a couple of building where I took on more Thugs. Fortunatly one hit was usually enough t take them out and my Synthoids soon upgraded to Kilonoids. I eventually found Fizzwidget, but it was one of the robot ones. Turns out it was a trap to lure Ratchet and Clank there and they were sent to the Thugs-4-Less prison on planet Aranos.

Over all a fun level. I increased my Nanotech levels 5 times and found a platinum bolt.

Todano--Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando

I took the rather pathetic guided tour of the Megacorp Armory. It was nothing like the video and if I didn't have more important things to do I would demand my money back. I had to fight a bunch of mutant test squirrels during it and accidentally killed most of the other people on the tour with me. opps.

Work my way through the weapons facility and fought a bunch of Chickenbot 2.0s. I kind of Miss those things. Also saw a bunch of sheep for some reason. Used the Tractor Beam to get through a lot of security systems and found out why there were so many sheep. They were testing the Sheepinator!

Next I checked out the rest of the facility. I had to go through mine field filled with Squirrels and a Robot Guard. Fortunately my Synthoids and Minirocket tube made short work of them. Once inside I had to deal with more Troopers that kept beaming in but again the Minirocket Tube took care of them. Once I got through all of them Angela (the Thief) gave me Fizzwidget's location.

Now it's off to Boldan. Hopefully I can stop him from unleashing the Protopet of the galaxy.

I also had a couple of Nanotech Level increases, bought the Lava Gun and found two Platinum Bolts. I'm going to have to go through and find the ones I missed one of these days.

Deep Space Disposal--Ratchet And Clank: Going Commando

Got to the Deep Space Disposal facility and got attacked by turrets! Turns out the password Fizzwidget gave me didn't work. Big shock that he got it wrong. After defeating the turrets, which had an annoying habits of repairing themselves, I got the coordinates of the Megacorp Armory on Todano. I stuck around an completed most of the challenges to get more points and am on my way to Todano.

Enter The Monkey--Ape Escape 2

This stage looked so easy. A bunch of Monkeys right in the open at the begining. All I had to do was run down and catch them. No wonder I needed to catch almost all of them to unlock the next stage.

Then I found out that most of them were Red Pants monkeys.

I hat Red Pants monkeys.Managed to stay alive long enough to catch them all and find Pipochi. Was a little disappointed at how easy it was to catch Ming. for an emperor he was pretty easy

The Blue Baboon--Ape Escape 2

This one wasn't too hard. In fact the hardest part was defeating Pink Monkey when I had captured 9 of the 11 monkeys. Went back after wards and had to face Mulder; I mean Moldy, a monkey with a UFO. For an X-Files fan like me, that was fun.

Next stop: World 4 and Enter The Monkey

Pink Monkey--Ape Escape 2

After I gt the 9 Monkeys I needed to clear The Blue Baboon, I had to fight Pink Monkey, the third member of the Freaky Monkey Five. She was making her signing debut, so I had no problem with beating he snot out of her.

In concept anyways.

She was tough. I had to hit her several times with the stun club, but first I had to get across a pool full of bombs and lily pads while avoiding her stun attack and wait for her to drop a force field before I could get close enough to touch her. And when I did she would throw lightning at me! And then I had to deal with all that and a more powerful stun After each hit because the speakers would blast me back to the other side of the level!

Hit her three times and then the pool dried up and she got pissed. She started throwing Bombs, Beach Balls, Fish, and Energy Beams at me. The beams killed me a lot until I remembered I had the Sky Flier. Even then I took a lot of hits and died a lot due to bad timing.

Finally beat her and am ready to move onto World 4 after I finish up catching a few more Monkeys in The Blue Baboon

Lookout Valley--Ape Escape 2

That one was tough. At least at first it was. Stupid punching monkeys. Lost 2 lives trying to catch the 7 I needed to clear the level! Oh well. I have lots of coins, so I should be able to get some 1ups and Cookies.

Now onto the Blue Baboon

Soul Smash (Easy)--Soul Calibur 3

Beat the Soul Smash mission on easy. Defeated Mitsurugi, Cassandra, and Asaroth to clear it in 1'25.66. Would have been faster, but my launch moves that I used in round one didn't seem to do the same move in round 2. Same happened in rough three.

Maybe I was just doing something wrong. Will have to retry it to see if I can get a better time.

Update: beat it in 27.56 seconds. This time I had to fight Maxi instead of Mitsurugi. I forgot that some moves you have to hold down attack buttons and others you tap, and my best launching move you hold it down (Towards-diagonal-up+vertical attack(hold) Going to try one more time. it says Great at the bottom, but I think I might be able to do better.

Snowball Mountain--Ape Escape 2

That one wasn't too hard, although the fact that I already had 6 of the 8 Monkeys needed to clear the level helped. the hardest ones to catch were the skiers, mainly because I had to find them as they moved through out the level and chase them down on the snowmobile.

Next stop, Lookout Valley

All Caught Up--Ape Escape 2

Well, I'm all caught up. I have all the Monkeys that I should by now, plus 6 from Snowball Mountain. Not sure how many more I need to clear that stage.

Plus, thanks to the slot machines at Casino City, I have over 400 coins to unlock stuff with. but I think I will wait a bit to worry about that.

Chronicle Of The Sowrd:Leaving The Nest Completed--Soul Calibur 3

The last part of my training and this was a tough one. Took the same team as last time and all three were knocked out at least once, but by the end Draganta and Nocturok had gained a level and Iceman was halfway there. In the end we won and I unlocked a new discipline for Monks.

Now it's time to go to war.

Chronicle Of The Sowrd:Day By Day Completed--Soul Calibur 3

A practice battle. I took Draganta, Nocturok, and Icem,an with, although for some reason I couldn't use Iceman. Same map and objectives as last time, but this time with tougher opposition. Nocturok actually fell twice, but healed up to rejoin the fight.

Now onto the next one

Chronicle Of The Sowrd:The Art Of War Completed--Soul Calibur 3

Created 3 characters. A Barbarian Draganta (my main character) a Thief Nocturok and a Monk Iceman (Based on my wrestling character and on the create a character I use when playing the main game.

This was a Tutorial, so it was rather easy. Draganta and Nocturok attacked a few enemy strongholds, fought a few enemies, and then took down the main strong hold. a couple quick fights and it was over.

Now onto the main game.

Pedro's Pawn Shop--Scarface: The World Is Your's

That wasn't too tough. Pedro had some hot items and the cops were on the way, so I got rid of them for him. Before I could get rid of the last crate, the cops showed up early, but I was able to get away from them and had no more time limit for the last drop (which was good because I was running out of time before they showed up)

After that he was happy to sell but I needed money, Felix told me about a hit that needed to be made, but my contact was in Diaz territory, so ended up having to fight them. that fight caught the attention of the cops, but I got away from them and went after my target, killed him and managed to get away from the gang.

After that, Felix set me up with a small supplier. I got some coke from him and sold it until I had enough to buy Pedro's.

I know control 28% of Little Havana. I also renovated the Mansion, getting me to reputation level 2. $10,000 suppliers, the Shotgun and Chainsaw, and 16 new exotics were unlocked.

Find Gaspar Gomez--Scarface: The World Is Your's

First order of business in rebuilding my empire is go after Gaspar Gomez. not sure why, because I wasn't paying too much attention during the cut scene. I think he took money from Tony; not a good thing.

Anyways, went to his hotel, killed his men, got into a fist fight with one (ironically enough the fight ended at the rails of the balcony, and int he cut scene that fallowed, he was thrown over the edge. that happened the first time I played, but I forgot. I just wanted to see if I could knock him over the edge during the fight.) fought more men stole an armored car, found out that I had a satellite phone that Gomez could use to contact me, and drove to the bank while avoiding Gomez's men. At the bank I talked to Jerry and opened an account.

Now I have to get some fronts, and the first one will be Pedro's Pawn Shop. I also bought an exotic, the Driver.

Buy Back Your Mansion--Scarface: The World Is Yours

Restarted playing Scarface last night. Didn't get far before I decided to go to bed started playing again today though.

Got through the mansion shoot out by killing a bunch of guys (got to love unlimited ammo) After laying low for a while it was time for Tony to return.

Wasn't too hard (so far). Went to the Babylon Club to meet with Sheffield, who sent me to see Felix. He was at Coco's so I went there and he gave me some coke to sell. Sold it to get enough money to buy back my mansion.

Not to start rebuilding the empire.

I got to Reputation Level 1, unlocked 14 Exotics and $5000 suppliers, and unlocked the Micro SMG
