The Iceman's Game Journal

After seeing Tim's Game Diary, I started this blog to give me some incentive to actually finish some of the 461+ video games I have (of which I have finished 41.) Hope it works.

Diablo--Complete Level 1

I forgot how little there actually is to do on the first level of Diablo. After about a half hour of duneon crawling I had killed a bunch of enamies, gained two levels, gotten a bunch of loot, and found the stairs leading down to level 2.

I did manage to find two magic books. The Book of Healing I was able to read after I gained my first level, givig me the Healing spell. I aslo found a book of charged bolt, but I can't read it yet. hopesully I will be able to after my next level up. if not it will have to go in the Vault (an area near the doungeon entrance where I place stuff I can't use yet but want to keep.

I did find two magic items, a staff of healing and a Skull Cap of Readyness and a Staff og Healing (I think tht's what it was called. I couldn't find anything matching it's abilities in the Prima Strat Guide I have.) Sold both of them since I didn't need the staff and while the skull cap would have been helpful, it didn't provide as much defense as the one I already had. I boought a suit of leather armor with the money, replacing my cloak.

It probably would have been harder, but as a Rouge you can use a Machine Gun Turret stratagy, standing in one spot and jsut firing arrows at enamies (thank the Matrix for unlimited arrows) I was able to take out plenty of enamies with jsut one shot, but if there were a lot, I just opened fire. I might practice my accuracy oon Level 2, but it was fun mowing down Fallen Ones, Zombies, and Skeletons :)

Weekly Challenges--January 28-February 3, 2008

I did...ok last week. Actually, considering the fact that I some outside interference, I did pretty good. I had to do some maintenance on the laptop, so I didn't have time to play Halflife, and I got about halfway through the Arctic before the battery on the DS died. No problem, until I remembered that I left the charger at my Sister's when I went up there a few weeks ago. SO over all there were only 3 goals that I could have finished that I didn't. Not great, but not to bad.

You may have noticed that I added a second PC game to the list. That's right, a new game to neglect! Actually I decided to try to finally beat Diablo. I think the furthest I have ever gotten was 9 or 10, so I got pretty close, but never finished it. Going to try to do it this time, and I will be playing as a Rouge.

Now onto this week's goals.

1.) Finish Chapters 2 of Half Life.
2.) Get to South Figaro Cave in Final Fantasy VI Advance.
3.) Get 4 stars in Super Mario 64.
4.) Rescue Clank and clear Endako in Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
5.) Complete Level 1 of Diablo.
6.) Complete More Then Meets The Eye in Transformers: The Game.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando--Clear the Maktar Resort

I destroyed the Thugs-4-Less Jamming Array, which is all I have left to do in the Maktar Nebula. Wasn't to tough.

I also went back and got a skill point by defeating Chainblade using only my wrench. Was a lot easier then I thought it would be. I was a bit disappointed.

Oh well. Not on to the next mission. I can either rescue Clank, or infiltrate Thugs-4-less.

I better get Clank first.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando--Defeat Chainblade

Took me a couple of tries, but I managed to defeat Chain Blade. Not only that, but I upgraded the Chopper to the Multi Star (did this before fighting Chainblade) and I upgraded my Max Nanotech when I beat him :)

Weekly Challenges--January 21-January 27, 2008

Did better then I have in the past, but not as good as I would have liked. For example, I did technically finish the Maktar Resort goal in Ratchet and Clank, but since I didn't destroy the jamming array, I'm not counting it (yet.) and I did get about half way through the second chapter of Halflife, so it shouldn't be to hard to beat that one.

On to the goals.

1.) Finish Chapters 2 of Half Life.
2.) Get to Bowser's Castle in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.
3.) Get 4 stars in Super Mario 64.
4.) Clear the Maktar Resort in Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
5.) Defeat Chainblade in Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
6.) Complete The Arctic in Transformers: Autobots.
7.) Complete More Then Meets The Eye in Transformers: The Game.

Transformers: Autobots

Had a little trouble in the fight against Barricade. Still not sure how he can get away from me less then a second after I pass him, but some how he did. After that he kicked my butt a few times on the bridge, but I was able to beat him once I stopped fighting him hand to hand.

Now it's off to the Arctic, where Ironhide is waiting for me.

Transformers: The Game--Complete The Suburbs

Finished this earlier to day. Had a little trouble catching the drones before they got to the used car lot, but otherwise it wasn't to hard. Now to get away from the authorities.

Halflife--Finish Chapter 1

Ok, so this shouldn't really count. after all, all you have to do is board a train, go to work, get your hazard suit, and run an experiment. But every story has to start somewhere :)

Weekly Challenges--January 14-January20, 2008

I really need to get back into the habit of updating this thing. I did a little better then it would seem when currently looking at the blog, simply because I haven't posted some Cooking Momma results that I achieved on the 30th. I'll probably post those later today.

Now onto the goals.

1.) Finish Chapters 1 & 2 of Half Life.
2.) Get to Bowser's Castle in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.
3.) Get 4 stars in Super Mario 64.
4.) Reach the Maktar Resort in Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
5.) Complete Tranquility in Transformers: Autobots.
6.) Complete The Suburbs in Transformers: The Game.
