The Train--Resident Evil Zero

After watching the trailer for Resident evil 6 and reading about the game as well as Revelations and the new movie, the new CGI movie, and Racoon Citty, coming out, I decided to try to play through the main series before 6 comes out. I have all the core games (Except Revelations, which I will be getting once it comes out in a few weeks) and decided to go chronologically, starting with Zero.

and BTW. Except for the light from my computer monitor and laptop screen (I'm recording a Bela Lugosi marathon off TCM on it), I am playing this game with the lights of. as Primus intended :)

After a cut scene establishing that this all takes place before the Arkley Mansion incident (the first game) a cut scene is shown of a train, which is soon attacked by some sort of giant leach things. a few hours later, disturbing reports of murders are coming in and a S.T.A.R.S. team is sent to investigate. And there is some guy watching all this. Their chopper has engine trouble but the land. Not the best landing, but at least everyone survived. While searching the area (the forests near Raccoon City, they find a Military Police transport van and a couple dead guards. According to a file found in the van, they were transporting a visitor named Billy Coen. Convinced that he is responsible, the team splits up, with Rebecca Chambers going off on her own. She soon finds the train as it starts to rain.

Rebecca entered the train.I've never liked the controls in the classic games (basically all of them up to 4) and keep trying to move the camera or turn using the C-Stick like I would the right analog stick on the 360 controller. but I will have to get used to them. The door to the Dining Car was locked, so I headed to the door on the other end of the train. When I entered the room, Rebecca IDed herself as a member of Bravo Team. There was a radio playing and some dead guys. When she bent down to pick up the radio, a few of them stood up.I killed them (taking the first one out with a head shot. not bad for not being used to the controls) and did some exploring.

In the next car, I found some sleeping quarters. I explored one cabin and found a dead guy and some ammo and first aid spray. Also in his cabin was a diary that said that he was part of an investigative team investigating the ruins of the Arkley Mountains facility. They are working on something called the T-Virus. In the next cabin I found an Ink Ribbon, Typewriter, Green Herb, more ammo, and Investigation Orders. They were hard to read due to being covered in blood, but apparently the Arklay Mountains facility is 8 miles north of Raccoon City and is a Management Training facility for some company. They have been shut down and the investigation is into whether or not they should be reopened.

After saving I continued down the car. I found the conductor's office, but it was locked. Around the corner I found a body with the Train Key. When I went to pick it up, Billy showed up. He realized that Rebecca was a member of S.T.A.R.S. and walked away. she threatened to arrest him, but he ignored her. As she stood there, one of her teammates crashed through the window. He said that the woods were full of zeds and monsters and then died. A couple Zed-dogs followed and I killed them.

The door at the end of the car was locked, but the Train Key had a tag that said Dining Car. So I headed back towards it. Killed a few zeds on the way. When I got back to that first car, a teammate tried contacting Rebecca. He had been searching the transport van's wreckage and found out that Billy was insane and killed 23 people. I killed another zed and entered the dining car.

Cut scene time. Billy showed up and wants to team up. Rebecca doesn't like that idea, so Billy says he will wait there and see how she does. Since the door on the main level was locked, I took the stairs.

At the top of the stairs I found a box of ammo and what looked like a survivor. Unfortunately it wasn't as the guys head fell off and a bunch of those slug things from the intro movie fell out of his body. They formed a zed that had a longer reach. I fired at it and eventually a cut scene started. They were trying to take over Rebecca! good thing Billy came running. He shot them off of her and they retreated. They heard some singing and it was coming from the guy who watched the earlier attack. The slugs were going towards him! Then the train started moving. Billy and Rebecca decided to team up, with Rebecca heading towards the front of the train to try to stop it.

I headed to the back of the car and found a ladder leading to the roof. I saw some cut wires and reconnected them, and then Billy fell through the roof.

He landed in a kitchen of sorts. Grabbed some ammo, a Green Herb, a first aid spray, and the key to the conductor's office. Unfortunately the door was stuck. Switching t Rebecca, who was still on the roof, I entered the now working Automatic Door and found an actual kitchen, There was nothing in there, but I did find a dumbwaiter and an access hatch that needed a special took to open. I sent the Conductor's Office key down to Rebecca.

Headed back to the conductor's office. Once there, I found a green herb, a red herb, a map of the train, and a briefcase that was locked. I also pressed a button that opened a ladder to the lounge. I made my way across the lounge and to the next car where I found more herbs (red and green) and an Ice Pick. That might work to open the door Billy is stuck behind. I found a cabin that had some ammo, a first aid spray, and a hunting rifle. But I didn't have room for most of that stuff so I left it and went back to the kitchen. As I entered the lounge, I was attacked by a giant Scorpion thing. I wasted more ammo then I would have liked killing it, but I got it. I also found the Panel Lever, but I didn't have room for it so I left it there for now.

I passed the ice pick to Billy, who opened the door and encountered some zeds that were on fire. Met up with Rebecca and doubled back to get the Panel Lever and the briefcase, as well as the Hunting Rifle (Have to have a shot gun when fighting zombies.) Encountered a few zombies (where do they keep coming from?) but nothing too tough. Got that stuff and went back to the kitchen to open that hatch in the floor.

Crawling through the crawlspace between cars, I came out on the other side and was attacked by a couple Zed-Dogs. Killed them and found the Gold Ring, which I combined with the Briefcase. After that car I found the Hookshot. Went back towards the first car I was in (After the one I started in) and used the Hookshot to get onto the roof as Rebecca (Billy weighed too much) and found a hole in the roof. Dropping down I killed a zed and found the Silver Ring, which also combined to unlock the briefcase. Inside was the Blue Key Card, which I needed to get to the Engine.

When I left the room, the leach eggs outside hatched and I enjoyed the squishing sound they made as I stepped on them. Rejoining Billy, we headed towards the front of the train.

I used the blue key card to open the door. A cut scene followed showing some soldier talking to a couple guy; one is a lab coat and the other wearing sunglasses (Wesker!) They wondered how the T-Virus got out and infected not only a lab (probably the one from the Investigation Orders) and the Mansion (not sure what that means. Oh wait. it's the mansion from the first game!) Then the soldier and another one who was int he control room were attacked and killed by slugs.

The engine was destroyed, but hopefully the breaks weren't. I grabbed the magnetic Card and left Rebecca in the control room while Billy ran to the back of the train (where I got the hook shot) to unlock the manual breaks and enter the first part of the code.Switched to Rebecca, who entered the rest of the code and threw the breaks. By some miracle it stayed on the tracks, but switched lines and crashed into a depot inside a mountain.

2012--The Year Of The Zombie

With 3 Resident Evil Games (Revelations, Operation Raccoon City, and RE6) and 2 Resident Evil movies (one live action and one CGI) coming out this year, it is a good year for killing Zeds. Add to that the fact that it's Treyarch's turn to make a Call OF Duty game and you have a new version of Zombie Mode! And I got Dead Rising 2 the other day, which means I need to beat Dead Rising 1. And of course Case West after it.And who knows how many zombie games (or games with Zombies in them, like RPGs) will will come out next year.

I;m planning on playing through all the main series games in the Resident Evil series in chronological order (except Revelations, which I plan on playing as soon as it comes out.) and I will be playing Operation Raccoon City when it comes out as well. and I still need to play through Left 4 Dead.

All I know is that it is a bad time to be a Zed.

State Of The Journal

Figured I should probably post something on here other then "Hey! I reached some sort of game score related milestone!" I've posted before on this subject, but it's been a while and I never actually followed through.

As I've said before, I am writing journal entries. Just not posting them. I am hoping to start posting them soon, just kind of waiting for a snow storm so I have nothing to do but post (and rip my DVD collection onto my computer) Problem is the last few days are the first that we have had more then a few flurries of snow and first time that it didn't melt right away. And while it is pretty windy out, there isn't enough snow to make visibility too bad. Maybe half mile, but in Minnesota, that is still pretty good. You can drive the speed limit with 1/2 mile visibility.

So much like I have for the DVD ripping, I am hoping to start posting entries on here soon, snow storm or not. wish me luck

10,000 Points!!!!!!

It took longer then I expected due to me not playing as many games for a while (Damn you seasons 1-7 of House on DVD! also Transformers: Headmasters with a not-comicly-bad dub) but I got it!

As I type this, I am sitting at 10,015. I was at 9,990, but the acheivement that put me over the top, "Wrecking Ball" from Batman: Arkham City, was woth 25 points.

Took a little less then 6 months this time. I'm guessing that I'll get to 11,000 faster then that though. 1.) Halo CE Anniversary Edition comes out today (only reason I don't have it yet is because it is a 20 minute round trip. not really worth it since I don't live in town anymore. otherwise I would) 2.) WWE '12 comes out in 12 days, 3.) still have plenty of Arkham City to play. 4.) got a few XBLA games that I have been looking forward to playing in the download list. 5.) there are always some pretty good deals on games during the Black Friday sales. and 6.) I live in Minnesota and winter will soon be here. Snow storms equal not much to do but play games :)

I reached 9000 points!!!!

Exactly 9000 in fact.

The achievement that got me to 9000 was "Plunder" in Age Of Booty

Took me a little under 4 months. Not too bad. Not as good as the last milestone, but still not bad. Now only 1000 points to go till I reach 10,000!

Site Redesign Update #2

Not too much to report so far. As you can see by glancing at the side bar, I updated the Now Playing and Free Play sections. In fact I did that a while ago, before I finished Red Dead Redemption, then updated it again to change the 360 game to Final Fantasy 13. I also updated the completed game count to 31! (out of 500+ :( ) and made some changed to the completed games list.

Next up, the community section and start working on the completed goals list. which includes adding tags to everything.

I was a little disappointed when I woke up this morning

I just found out that Duke Nukem Forever has been pushed back to from May 6 to June 14.

Then I thought of something.

I've been waiting for this game for 14 FREAKING YEARS!!!!. A year ago it looked like we would never see it when it was announced that it was canceled.

I think I can wait another month.

Just wish It wasn't 4 days after the over seas release.

I'm kind of sad right now. I have 4 missions left and I will be done with the storyline for Red Dead Redemption.

I've enjoyed the storyline. and I still have most of the Stranger missions, about half the challenges, and probably 3/4ths of the bounties to do, plus some achievements I can work on and of course multiplayer. And I am glad to be able to move onto the next game I want to work on (for the record it is Fianl Fantasy 13) but it is still sad to say good bye to John Marston.

Man, I was on the roll this time. Only took about 3 months. Think that is the fastest 1000 Points yet!

I ended up getting exactly 8000 points with the "Clear Green" achievement, which is worth 5 points.

Doubt I will reach 9000 in 3 months or less, but there is only one way to find out :)

Sad face :(

I was playing Assasin's Creed 2: Discovery on my DS the other day and noticed the touch screen flickering. I tried some other games and had the same problem. So I did some checking and found out that it is probably a problem with the DS. I can send it in and get it repaired (and pay for the fix) or I can wait till March and get the 3DS, which I was thinking about doing anyways.

Until then, I went out and got an Emulator 9ducks behind the couch to hide from lawyers) before I go any further, I am not endorsing using Emulators. I have in the past (not here) but I don't any more. mostly because now I have a job and can just buy the games I want to play.

I have to admit, I was impressed. I was concerned how the touch screen would work and with the frame rate. the frame rate was a bit slow, but manageable. games that require lots of fast action on the touch screen might be a problem, but for most games, I think it will be ok.

[sarcasam alert] except for Chrono Trigger and Pokemon Diamon and Pearl. those games use the touch screen way too much. [end sarcasm alert]

This isn't the first time I have done entries on here using an emulator. due to limited space, and NES and SNES entries I've done over the last few years have been using emulators. and like I said, I don't endorse them since they are illegal if you don't actually own the actual game, but they are a handy way to play games if you can't use the actual systems for some reason and you actually own the games. and I will say this. while it is illegal to download ROMs for games you don't own, it is a handy way to try out a game before you buy it. and I highly recommend them for that purpose at least.

500th Achievement!

If my calculations are correct, I just got my 500th Achievement! I know some people might read that and say "Who cares?" but I thought it was important so I'm posting about it. In case anyone is wondering, the 500th Achievement was Urban Exploration for Limbo, a 10 point achievement.

Wonder what achievement 750 will be.

Update:--Apparently I did miscount. According to True Achievements, Urban Exploration is acievement #505. the actual #500 was WWrong Way, which I got on January 2 and is worth 5 points.

7000 Points!!!!

I have a Gamescore of 7000!!!!

Officially it is 7010 points. The Achievment that got me over the 7000 mark was "Chop Shop" from Dead Rising 2: Case Zero.

It only took a little over 4 months to get 100 points. It might have gone faster, but I didn't do much gaming last month or in August.Should be interesting to see how long it takes me to get to the 8000. Either way, by the end of 2011 I should have broken the 10,000 point barrier.

Been meaning to post this for a while, just haven't. So, while watching the 2010 Tour De France I figured now would be a good time to announce this.

I am planning on re-doing the site. The background will stay the same, since I think it works well for the gaming theme of the site and because I like it. The basic lay out will mostly stay as well, but with a few changes.

1.) Sidebar
The sidebar is going to be changed around a bit. the Now playing section will list the games that I am actually playing, like Transformers: War For Cybertron (360) Chrono Trigger (DS) and Final Fantasy 6 (GBA) There might be other ones that I am playing , like Frogger or Pac-Man on Live Arcade, but for the most part only the ones I am actively playing are here

Free Play will be back, with a list of games I am playing when I go online and want some multi player action, as well as ones I play when I just want to play (This is where Frogger and Pac-Man will be)

the Community sites and Gamer Tags sections will be combined with the current goals section and be joined by a new section, achievements.

Long Term Goals will no contain ones that just take a long time to complete, like side quests that I have started, but haven't completed yet. Stuff that is currently on there, which is mostly tough challenges that I will get to eventually, will be moved to their own page.

2.) Posts
I haven't stopped writing posts, I just haven't been posting them. There are several that I just saved as drafts because I didn't want to stop and write a post. I wanted to keep playing. So I typed up the important stuff and kept playing, but never went back to them. Others I have typed up in a file I have on my computer as full posts, but never posted them.

obviously I have to get those done. Plus there are some things that aren't really worthy of posts, but are smaller parts of something that is. For example, a post about beating stage 1-1 of Super Mario Bros 3 is stupid, but including it as part of a "Completed World 1 of SMB3" challenge is worth a post. so some of the posts will be condensed into one. I will also be adding tags to all posts and spell check them all. I will keep typing posts on the computer, and when I get caught up, I will upload all of them. The ones I saved as drafts, I will probably just replay them, using the drafts to list anything (like achievements unlocked) that I can't get or do on a replay. I will also (finally) try to type up reviews of games I have beaten. I have been meaning to do that since the start, just haven't. I also might start posting reviews of demos I play, simply to give my impressions of the demo and whether or not people should buy the games based on the demos. Basically I will play the demos so you don't have to.

3.) Achievements
When I say achievements, I don't mean just achievements unlocked on the 360 (or trophies if I ever get a PS3. or achievements in other games that have them now.) I also mean completed goals. Those, as well as a list of all achievements I have so far of 360, as well as the gamer tags that are currently on the sidebar will be found here.

YAY!!!!

I just found out that I'm not missing Super Mario Sunshine!!!!

Long story short, I'm missing about 15 Gamecube games, as well as the wallet that I had them in. When I moved last, I had them in a box that broke open. My dad and brother (Who were carrying the box) thought they picked up everything, but the wallet was round and may have rolled away with out them knowing about it (plus there was a sewer drain near there, so it might have landed in there.)

I've looked in most of the boxes I might have put it in other then that one, as well as a few others since, but no luck so far, so I'm planning on replacing them. I only need the disk, but if I get the rest, bonus. I figure if I replace them and find them later, I can always toss them back on EBay or sell them at Gamestop. Especially for games like the Legend Of Zelda Collector's Edition, which had the first to Zelda Games and the two on the N64 as ell. If I find the discs, I'm selling that one to Gamestop. Not going to get what they are asking for it (about $23) but I might get more then on Ebay

I have 6000 Gamescore!!!!

Officially, as of this post, it is 6005. The achievement that pushed me over the top is "There Are Parts Everywhere" from Transformers: The War For Cybertron.

In case you are wondering, yes, I* have been writing up posts for the last 6 months or so, just haven't posted them because for some reason, Chrome on my laptop (Vector Sigma) doesn't let me log into my account. Works fine on this system though (Teletraan 2). I will get them posted eventually. Unless I already have, in which case you can ignore that part.

Just saw an interview on X-Play with the head guy working on Civilization 5. They switched to Hexs and you can't stack multiple unit types, meaning strategy is more important then ever.

Best of all, they added ranged combat.

The other stuff should be cool, but I have just one thing to say about the addition of ranged combat.

It's about damn time.

Welcome To Bad Company--Battlefield: Bad Company

After meeting my squad and a brief tutorial we got our first mission. We were sent take out some artillery batteries so our guys could get into position.

On the way I found a new mini game. blowing the crap out of out houses. literally

After taking out the artillery crews, I had to use the guns to take out some hostiles that were closing in on our guys. Forgot to lead with the first salvo, but didn't take long to shell the enemy vehicles.

Next up I had to clear a river crossing so a supply convoy could get through. With a monster truck un available, we hopped into a Humvee and headed towards the crossing. On the way, we stopped to check out a house and I found an XM8. We climbed into a truck that had a bunch of explosive barrels in it. That might not have been the best idea, might come in handy. We took the river crossing and I got on a Machine Gun bunker to take out re-enforcements.

After that it was time for Operation Mustang. We were sent to a hilltop farm to the west of the crossing and told to clear it out. I got there and fought a bunch of hostiles, but they had a surprise; a tank in the barn. it blew up real good once I fired a few rockets into it.

An Evac chopper was on it's way but it was shot down and we were sent to take out an Anti-Air base. Found some C4 and blew them up good too. Killed a bunch of hostiles in the process.

We were told that to investigate and secure a farm to the east, so we climbed into Renegade (the APC that we've been driving in since we first found one. I think it was around the river crossing. I decided to name it. Even if it isn't the same one officially, I'll probably consider any APC we stick with for a long time to be Renegade.) and headed there.We cleared the farm and took out their reinforcements, but we suffered a loss. Renegade was destroyed by an enemy tank :(

With the farm cleared out, our guys could get through. And there was another APC! Hello Renegade 2! We followed the convoy in Renegade 2, but they were hit by artillery. Hostiles were jamming communications so we couldn't get an Air Strike in. Looks like a job for....SOMEONE ELSE!!!! Unfortunately all they could send was Bad Company.

A brief fire fight took out the Jammers defense and some C4 took care of them. And almost Sweetwater. Probably should watch where I leave that stuff.

Finally we had to take an enemy base. But the guys guarding it were dressed different and had XM8s! Turns out they were mercs working for the Legionnaire. and he pays his men in gold! Looks like we have a new mission.

I got the AEK971, XM8, 870MCS, S20K, and SCAR as well as the Killer On The Loose, You Found It You Keep It, and Staying Alive achievements.

5000 Points!!!!

A few days ago, while playing Fable 2, I passed 5000 points!!!!

Still a long ways to go before I reach greg's 22615 points (as of this post) But I have the second most points on my friends list (Behind Greg obviously) and am well on my way to catching him.

Looks like it is a good thing I haven't used my Wii for a few weeks. Apparently the newest update, 4.2, Bricks Wiis! Supposidly it is only supposed to affect modded Wiis but is affecting non-modded ones as well.

If I had updated, and it had bricked, I would have had to send it in to be repaired, which would most likely result in it being replaced. That would mean that the one I got back would be my THIRD since getting it a few months after the launch!!!! How sad is it that, between me and my nephew Greg, we have gone through only 3 Xbox 360s in that time! And his is on all the time!!!!

100% Song--Guitar Hero: World Tour

YAY!!!!

I got only my second 100% song ever!!!! The first one was Cherry Pie on Guitar Hero 2. I thought I had posted about it, but I guess I didn't, so for the record I got it back in June or July. This time it was No Sleep Till Brooklyn. Both were done on Easy, but the important part is I got 100%!!!!

Pendant Of Courage--Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

After wondering around Kakariko village for a bit trying to find someone who knew where Sahasrahla was, I made my way to his location. He told me that only someone who had proven themselves could use the Master Sword and sent me to retrieve the Pendant Of Courage. I fought my way through the Eastern Palace and battled the Armos Knights. With the Pendant in hand, I returned to Sahasrahla.

I got the Bow and the Pegasus Boots, as well as the Bug Catcher's Net and two magic bottles.

Now it's time to get the next pendent. Looks like I'm heading for the Desert Palace

Rescue Zelda From Dungeon--Legend Of Zelda:A Link To The Past

After grabbing a lamp and heading to the castle, I snuck in through a secret passage where I found my uncle. He gave me his sword and shield before he died. I traveled through the castle and down to the dungeon to find Princess Zelda. After defeating several guards, I rescued her and and we escaped through a secret passage in the throne room. That lead to the sewers, which took us to the Sanctuary, where the Old Man could help.

I died a few times in the sewers, but I got the boomerang, so it was ok. On to the next part of my quest to defeat Agahnim.

well, I'm an idiot.

First, I couldn't figure out why the 360 couldn't connect to the net or the laptop last night. I checked the network hub and it was working. I checked the cord going into the 360 and it was fine. I couldn't figure it out.

This morning I remembered that I had removed the network cable from the laptop. Since the connection goes from the laptop to the hub, that would explain it.

Idiot point #1

Then I fired up the 360, knowing that the Facebook/Twitter/Last.FM/Zune update was supposed to be today. for some reason it didn't update! This is supposed to be a mandatory update, so why wasn't it updating? Was there a problem and it was taken off line or something? Was it coming out tomorrow and I was a day ahead of myself again?

Then I remembered that I got into the preview about 3 weeks ago, so I've had the update for about 3 weeks ago.

Idiot point #2.

Wonder how many more I'll rack up by the end of the day.

On the way to Chorrol, I met a man who asked me to get 12 Rumare Slaughterfish. it took a couple of days but I got it. And I got the Jewel of Rumare, which gives +4 to Athletics and Water Breathing.

While selling some stuff, I ended up getting a couple quests. It seems that one of the local merchants, Thoronir, is selling his goods much lower then the others, and they want to know why> I followed him to a meeting with a guy named Agarmir. I started following him, and broke into his house, looking for evidence. Seems Agamir has been robbing graves and selling what he finds to Thoronir. I followed him to a grave, but it was a trap. He and a goon attacked me, but I took care of them no problem. Thoronir felt horrible, gave all the leftover inventory and the money he made to the temple, and agreed to sell at competitive prices like everyone else.

I got 100g and the Weatherward Circlet. The circlet gives Resist 10% to Frost and Fire. Not the best haul, but not bad.

Escape The Sewers--Oblivion

It seems that someone wants to kill Captain Picard...I mean the king. and his escape route is a secret escape route is right through my jail cell!

yeah, I have no idea why I am in jail. hopefully that will be explained eventually.

I followed the king and a few guards. They fought a few assassins and one was killed, giving me some armor and a sword. I joined in the fight and we were cornered. The king was killed but he gave me the Amulet Of Kings before he dies, saying to take it to Jauffre. Looks like I am going to Chorrol. Why do I say this? because I was playing Super Mario Bros 2 earlier and I couldn't get through the first level in 1 life! and I died before I even got the key in 1-2! It has to be because I leveled up!

Actually I was playing a rom and mys system was running slow, so it was probably lag, but that isn't a fun! so for comedy purposes I'm blaming turning 30.

Made my way out of the Intensive Treatment Center and found myself on the east side of the Island. After talking to the guards there, I learned that Joker's goons were trying to break into the Batmobile. I made my way to the North entrance and stopped them.

Also, apparently the Riddler has hacked my communication system and can talk to me. he left a bunch of riddles around the island, including the Riddle trophies, and wants me to try to solve them.

I completed a few more Riddler Challenges, Unlocked the bios for Amadeus Arkham, Bruce Wayne, and Jack Ryder. Unlocked the Frank Boles and Blackgate Prisoner trophies, and I got the Freeflow Combo X10 and Born Free achievements

I also got the Explosive Gel, which I can use to get solve a few more Challenges, which I will probably do before I go any further

Find Officer Boles--Batman: Arkham Asylum

So one of the guards turned out to be working for Joker and kidnapped Commissioner Gordan

Crap. Now I have to look for him before going after Joker.

Made my way to the holding cells, where I found a flask that Boles had with him earlier. By following the vapor trail left behind (Boles likes the whiskey) I tracked him to the elevators, but Harley dropped them on me (and tore the Batsuit, which from the sounds of it gets more damaged as the game progresses!) Made my way to the top of the shaft and fought my way through Joker's goons till I found Boles. Unfortunately his usefulness wore off and Joker killed him.

I got the Rope-A-Dope-A-Dope achievement, a Spirit Of Arkham, and the bio for Frank Boles, as well as a few interview tapes

This game is really tough to do entries for. Either the entries would be rather short, or they could be rather long. Case in point, I went from a short time after this post (1% of the game complete) to 8% complete and didn't have any clearly defined places where I could do one! so I started over in a separate save file and will basically decide every once in a while to do one!

After escaping the Prisoner Pacification Room (where I fought Zsasz) I made it to Decontamination, which Joker had flooded with Joker Gas. I rescued a few guards, as well as one of Joker's goons and turned on the fans to suck the gas out. After that it was on to the Secure Treatment Transfer room, where Joker was waiting for me with a mutated goon. Not sure how it was mutated, looked like it had been pumped full of VENOM, but I'm sure that is part of the story. Joker got away after I fought the goon, but I'll find him.

I unlocked the bio for Harley Quinn and got the Leave No Man Behind and Malpractice Makes Perfect achievements.

Shocking Rescue--Batman: Arkham Asylum

Joker Escaped, and it's up to Batman to stop him and an entire Asylum full of bad guys.

YAY!!!

Chasing after Joker, I learned that Zsasz had taken a guard hostage and was threatening to kill him. I grappled behind him and took him out with a Glide Kick.

Seems that Joker has placed bombs all over Gotham (and Harley has a new outfit. Hello Nurse!) But what is he really up to?

I got the Shocking Rescue and Freeflow Combo 5 achievements and unlocked the Batman Trophy, Challenge Mode, and the Batman, Joker, Warden Sharp, Oracle, Commissioner Gordan, and Riddler bios. And I apparently solved 2 of the Riddler's riddles. Not sure how I got the second one though. Oh well, back to stopping Joker :)

I GOT 100% ON LEGO INDIANA JONES AND DASH OF DESTRUCTION!!!!!!

Ok, I actually got these yesterday, with the Lego one close to midnight I'm guessing, but either it didn't pop up and say "Achievement unlocked" or I missed it and didn't know it until I fired up the 360 and saw that my Gamescore was higher then it was before.

The important part is I GOT 100%!!!!!!

Actually I can, but I don't really want to. The reason is because on Thursday (or maybe Friday) my new 22 inch HD monitor will be here :) I could play but I will have to replay those parts in HD later :) Some are easy, like Lego Batman. I will have to play through the levels I've beaten already in free play anyways, so no big deal. Other games, like RE5, there is really no reason to play through it again, but I will anyways. pick up a few more achievements and beat it at a higher difficulty level if nothing else.

I might have to buy or build some sort of Jerry-rigged way to make the Wii and PS2 work with it, I will have a bigger screen to work on the comic and my writing (and web surfing as well) be able to do all that stuff more comfortably, and will be able to play the 360 in High Def :)

Until then, there is always the Wii, Ps2, and Multiplayer Call Of Duty :)

I was just playing COD: World at War. not too big a shock there, until you realize I was playing SINGLE PLAYER!!!!9pauses as the shocked Non-Exsistant Readers recover) and I get a message saying that I was disconnected from Live. no big deal, I try reconnecting a few times and I can't.

so I go online and see that Live is down at the moment. No big deal, but I am curious to see what caused the unexpected outage. Instead I see that the site is running slow and I can't log on (server is too busy.) fortunatly I can get into the forums without logging on.

You would think it was the freaking apocalypse the way some of these idiots are reacting . all the messages have theis sort of "I'm-a-junkie-and-i-need-my-fix" feel to them, like they can't handle the thought of not being on Live for more then a minutes (to be fair, it's been about a half hour now)

My favorite part are the ones that think that this is affecting the whole Microsoft network, because the forum is running slow. Now, maybe it's runnign slow because idiots like you are spamming the reload key waiting for the Xbox Live statuf light to turn from red to green.

If he were still up, I would love to see Bug's reaction to this right now. Unfortunatly he was supposed to be in bed at 10 :(

What can I say, I'm an evil uncle. I like torturing him with classic games like Doom and watching him go crazy cause he can't be on live >:)

Gears Of War 2: All Fronts Collection is only available on Live :( That means I could have been playing it for a couple of days now!

Guess I'm just going to have to get the game tonight and All Fronts Collection tomorrow :)

I would get it tonight, but I'm almost broke and can't afford both. Fortunately Payday is tomorrow as well :) After that, the only thing I will have to wait for is for World At War--Map Pack 2 to finish downloading :)

Of course I might have to get more points. Map Pack 3 is due out soon as well.

A Poisonous Appointment--Lego Batman

Poison Ivy's green thumb gave me lots of stuff to break :)

Not too much to say about this level. Fought my way through the garden and green house and caves till I got to Ivy and fought her and three of her plants. the hardest part was fighting the plants, because I had to wait for them to spit up the parts for a bomb and then build it, all while fighting Ivy's goons and later Ivy herself. When the plants were destroyed, she started taking damage, but she was kind of a push over.

Oh, and I also unlocked the Super Builder Achievement.

Oh well. On to the next level. Time to take the Riddler down :)

Two-Face Chase--Lego Batman

This was fun. You drive around in the batmobile blowing stuff up! What's not to like!

Basically I just drove around shooting stuff, including Riddler's henchmen in van. I had to knock over several and drag them to where the police chopper was waiting before I could move onto the next section.

After a few sections like that, it was time to face Two-Face in his armored van. This time instead of knocking over the van, I had to cause it to stall and drag it to the chopper, where they dropped a mine on it. was a little harder, but lots of fun.

I managed to get Superhero pretty easily, and found most of the Minikit pieces. Even found the Red Brick, but couldn't grab it because I had to drag Two-Face over one last time. I'll get it during Free Play.

An Icy Reception--Lego Batman

this one was tough. In the first area, there are vans with seemingly endless hoards of enemies to fight. After building some stuff, I realized that if you jump on them, something happens. After jumping on them both a bunch of times, a "Bubble Bomb" shot out an destroyed the vans.

It didn't get much easier when I got inside the ice cream factory. the entire level was on platforms over bottomless pits, and there was ice cream every where which made everything slippery. I died a lot and ended up playing through the level 3 times before I managed to hold onto enough studs to get Superhero.

The fight against Mr Freeze was a lot like the fight against Clayface; frustrating and fun. you couldn't just run over and attack Freeze, you had to wait for him to tire out. unfortunately that required him using his freeze gun, which kills you with 2 hits if you don't un-thaw yourself before the second hit. This made it frustrating, but kind of fun too.

Now on to the next level.

You Can Bank On Batman--Lego Batman

YAY!!! Lego Batman finally dropped in price!!!!

I got this a couple of days ago, but Secret Of Monkey Island and new songs on Guitar Hero World Tour had to take priority.

First level was really good. The story places you right in the think of things as Batman and Robin go after various criminals who escaped from Arkham.

The best part of this level (and hopefully the whole game) is you can see right away where you need to play through in Free Play to get everything. It isn't always "Use a different character to open a door" type stuff like in past games, it's mostly stuff that is right there. you can see the studs and the mini kits, but you can't get to them. It's frustrating and exiting at the same time, because they are just out of reach :)

The only really annoying part was the fight against Clayface. You have to use the Demolition Suit to defeat him, but it is hard to lure him near the bombs. I managed to get him trapped in an ally and just kept dropping them there until he retreated into the bank, then it got easier.

Over all, a good start to the game. It was a bit frustrating, but the fight against Clayface was a nice change of pace from the "hit them til they die" boss fights in the other games. I got a few Minikit pieces, and unlocked the Natural Habitat, Eat Floor...High Fiber, Boy Wonder, and Shot To The Goon achievements and unlocked the Demolition Suit and Tech Suit. Over all, a great way to start the game.

Act 1: Ashes--Gears Of War

First level of the game, and other then the intro movie before I hit start to start the game, I have no idea what is going on. Marcus is in jail, and Dom is breaking him out.

after a short tutorial, we met up with Delta squad. We traveled to Embry Square to find Alpha Squad, and some resonator thing that will help kill the Locusts once and for all. Unfortunately all we find are bodies until we hear Cole kicking Locusts butt. He joins the team and we go looking for the rest of Alpha Squad. Finally find them, but we are attacked and the guy in charge is killed. After retreating into the tombs, we find out that there is a Berserker in there with us. She can't see, but she can hear us, smell us, and kill us with one hit. And to make it even better, the only thing that will kill her is the orbital weapons platform known as the Hammer Of Dawn.

Unfortunately it only works outside, and we are inside, so we have to some how get outside alive, lure her out, and kill her. Easy right?

Wrong. I died allot in this part, but I finally got her out, and after dieing some more, killed her.

Now onto the next act.

I've never been a huge Tekken fan, although I do admit they are great games. Among my friends I am the black sheep, preferring Mortal Kombat, or the Soul Caliber portion of the Tekken universe.

Update--10:15 PM: I was talking to Jason at work today, and during break Tekken 6 came up. looks like I will probably be getting it if I want to have any sort of a chance in the traditional "Theres a new Tekken game, lets have a King OF The Iron Fist Tournament" Tournament. The reigning champion, Caleb will probably walk away with the trophy again (yes we all throw in a few bucks to get a trophy made. remember this is the same group of guys that had title belts for Smackdown) but it should still be a fun night of hanging out with friends and playing video games.

Panic In Times Square--Ghostbusters

chased Stay-puff through Times Square, fighting Construction Worker, Hobo, and Opera Diva Ghosts, as well as several Stone Gargoyles and a crap load of Marshmallow Minis. on the way Egon taught me how to use the Boson Dart.

Saw that Stay-Puff was apparently looking for something or some one, so Ray and I went to find it before he did while Peter...got coffee. found out it was the chick we ran into at the Sedgewick!

While trying to escape, the stairs collapsed, so we headed for the roof top, but Stay-Puff was waiting and I had to take him on by myself. Wasn't too long before the streets below were covered in white marshmallowy goo.

on a side note, liked the sight of his hat drifting to the street after being defeated, something they wanted to do in the first movie, but couldn't..

The chick's name is Dr Ilyssa Selwyn, and the Ghostbusters are taking her back to the fire house for an interview, but what could Stay-Puff, or Gozer for that mater, want with her?

Welcome To The Hotel Sedgewick--Ghostbusters

Chased Slimer back to the Sedgewick Hotel, the place the Ghostbusters caught him in the first movie. After catching a few Bellhop Ghosts, Peter and I chased Slimer into the Ballroom and trapped him. But it wasn't over yet. After catching a few more Bellhops, Egon and I went after another ghost, Pappy Sargassi. He brought down the stairs, forcing me to search for him alone. Eventually the trail lead to the restaurant that he started. The other Ghostbusters showed up during the fight and we took on the Kitchen Golem before defeating Pappy.

Everything seemed good. Then the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man showed up.

is anyone other then me wondering why Ray, with all his brains, tells me to blast Slimer when he is floating in front of the containment unit? you know, that thing exploded when it was shut off in the first movie?

Anyways, into the basement to catch Slimer and another ghost, a sloth ghost (Formerly known as Arbison Morguncher, died 1937) Got Morguncher, but Slimer escaped. Before climbing into Ecto-1, I took a look around the fire house and found the painting of Viggo The Carpathian. Didn't that get erased in the second movie?

Once I climbed into Ecto-1 (and received a warning not to destroy to many landmarks, that is the senior Ghostbuster's job) the tutorial level was over.

I unlocked the You Got To Try This Pole!, I Ain't 'Fraid of No Ghost! and We Have The Talent! achievements.

The Truth and Reconciliation--Halo

I got my sniper rifle :)

the marines I rescued in the last level were my back up as we fought our way to, and onto a Covenant ship. Once on board we fought our way through the ship until we found the bring. along the way most of the Marines died, and a couple just seemed to disappear. Oh well. I don't need help. I'm freaking Master Chief!

Found the captain and more marines. turns out this ring world, Halo, is a weapon of some sort and the Covalent is trying to find a control room for it. It's up to us to get there first. Foehammer is busy, so Master Chief and the marines have to make it to a drop ship. Got to the dropship room and a couple Invisible Elites had their plasma swords lite up! idiots. took them out with one shot with the sniper rifle.

Because I'm freaking Master Chief and am just that good.

A couple hunters showed up, but the Captain used the drop ship to kill them and it was on to the next level.

I just finished playing the demo for Wheelman, and I have to say this is a great game!

It's not a GTA or Getaway type game, this is a driving game, with controls that are more like Scarface's which I feel has the best controls of any game like this. and the missions in the demo are great! I was having a blast, even when I lost a race or something.

Not sure if it is worth buying at full price, but I am defiantly getting it when it goes on the discount rack. and since it's been compared to Burnout, maybe I will have to get that too. Burnout Paradise is at Walmart for $20 :)

I think I talked about this in the past, and I know I read about it, but apparently it's been confirmed. Traveler's Tale is making a Lego Harry Potter game! from the sounds of it, the game might (hopefully) be out late this year!

Apparently they are also working on an Indy game based on Kingdom Of The Crystal Skulls. Not sure how they can make a full game based on one movie, but I'm sure they can come up with something. Maybe DLC for Lego indy or an Arcade/PSN game?

The best news is that, in that second link, a staff member at Traveler's Tale said that they were putting together a demo to pitch to Peter Jackson for a Lord OF The Rings game.

Escaping Through The Waterways--Final Fantasy XII

There is a battle going on, apparently the Fete was a trap set by lord Vayne to lure out the resistance. Balthier and Fran help Vaan escape, but their Hover bike loses power and they crash, forcing them to escape through the Garamsyth Waterways. Along the way, they met Amalia, a member of the resistance. They fought some Flans (got the Balthier trophy for the Pirates den while fighting them) and several other monsters before arriving at Vaan's rat hunting grounds. There they were attacked by a Firemane. Vaan and Fran started off using Blizzard on it, which didn't do much, but was better then other spells. After that Vaan and Amalia fought it close range while Balthier and Fran attacked from a distance.

After the fight, guards arrived with Lord Vayne. They were captured and Amalia was separated from the team. after a weird dream about Reks, Vaan awoke to find himself in the Nalbina Dungeons with Balthier, while Fran was looking for a way out.

Oh, and apparently some Bangaa are trying to kill Balthier.

Entering The Palace--Final Fantasy XII

With some help from Kytts, I entered the Garmsythe Waterway. After fighting several Dire Rates and Steelings, I made it into the palace. Explored the main room and talked to some people there to help clean up after the Fete (and got some loot) and then, with some help, got to the upper floors. After distracting the guards, I managed to find the Lion Signet and used the Crescent stone on it to unlock the secret passage. That lead to another secret door, where the treasure was. I found the Goddess's Magicite, but was int erupted by Fran and Balthier. Nose outside distracted them, allowing Vaan to run away as Guards ran past.

Wolf In The Waste--Final Fantasy XII

Before heading back to talk to Old Dalan, I decided to take another Mark. This time I went after Thextera. before heading to the Dlamasca Westersand, I got the Libra Technik and a Broadsword for Vaan and the Cure, Fire, Thunder, and Blizzard spells for Penelo. When I found Thextare, I used Libra to find out his weakness, as well as the weaknesses of the wolves he was with. While Penelo took care of the Wolves with Fire spells, Vaan took on Thextera. They killed each other at the same time, but some Phoenix Down got Vann back on his feet.

The reward for the hunt was 500 Gil, a Headband, and a Teleport stone. And I ranked up to Hedge Knight in the Clan Centurio (which I joined before going after Thextera) which got me 2 warp motes and 2 teleport stones

Sunstone--Final Fantasy XII

After the parade, Vaan decided to break into the castle, because that is what parades always make me want to do. After finding and talking to Old Dalan, I left Rabanastre and headed to a nomad village in the Giza Planes. There I teamed up with Penelo and went searching for a lost child, Jinn. After finding him and helping him make a Sunstone, we returned to the village. Now back to Rabanastre to find out how to enter the castle.

Saw This (Scroll down to Gabe's post) and that led me to Here There I found the below information.

A bonus quest can be found in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - The Video Game, which involves Wolverine entering a cave. Inside the cave lies a skeleton and a sword which is a replica of Frostmourne. The quest tells the player: "You feel cold as you examine the skeleton and read the name "Arthas" etched into the nearby sword". On the Xbox 360 version, the player receives the "WoW!" achievement for discovering the area.

Being a Warcraft fan, I was rather excited. I almost want to get the game just to get this achievement.

Probably will wait will it comes down in price though. I'm not willing to pay $60 for the Wolverine game, no matter how cool the demo is.

I'm playing The Bigs, and was well on my way to a no hitter. At the bottom of the 8th inning, I was almost there. Had I pulled it off, I would have gotten 175 points added to my Gamescore and 2 achievements unlocked.

but the first at bat for the Cardinals got a hit :(

Oh well. I still won the game 8-0 Twins, with Santana giving up only 2 hits all game. I also got the Double, 3 Doubles, Heating Up, 5 Runs, and 7 Runs achievements for a total of 55 points.

This morning around 1 I passed the 2000 points mark for my Game Score! I got the Strikeouts X 15 achievement in The Bogs. Lost the game I was playing 4-7, but at least I got lots of achievements and passed 2000 points.

Think someone needs to tell Walmart, since it was still $59.99 when I was there yesterday. Might have gotten it if it had been marked down.

3 worms with 1 Sheep--Worms

I was going to play the demo for Worms the other day, when I realised that it was only 400 points, the exact amount I had in my account! So of course I bought it.

I just got the Three-Bagger achievement by killing 3 enemy worms at once. I used a Sheep to kill 2, detonating it right on the one's head. Then the explosion caused by that one blowing himself up killed a third one! Only way it would have been better is if I had also gotten the Silver Damage achievement (got that last round) and the Shepherd achievement, but I'm guessing I'm a few kills away from that one.

First Song--Guitar Hero World Tour

I got Guitar Hero World Tour last night, and finally had time to play it. After creating my rocker and designing instruments for him, I went into quick play and decided to play my first song. Chose "Beat It" by Micheal Jackson How could I not pass up a chance to play Eddie Van Halen's solo for my first song. Unfortunately I played it on Beginner. If you can move the strum bar, you can do great at this difficulty, because that is all you have to do. I didn't get perfect, because I came in early a few times, but I got 92%, 32,050 points, and a 56 note Streak.

Needless to say, I had to play it again on easy, so I could actually play it. Got 94% this time, with 43,324 points and a 66 note streak. Could have gotten better, but Bugs decided to send me message during the song and I missed a few notes when I forgot where the start button was.

I also unlocked the "Pick and Axe" "One Time Solo Artist" and "Warrior Of Rock" achievements.

And in case anyone is wondering, I didn't use Star Power the second time through, but I did the first time. During the solo, of course :)

A rather fun level. Every one on my life boat died, so Master Chief and Cortana had to find some survivors, After finding some and fighting off a few waves of Covalent ships, I got to drive the Puma. I mean Warthog. Used that to find more survivors and fight more covenant forces. After rescuing all the survivors in my area, we found out the the Captain was still alive and being held aboard a Covenant ship. Time for a rescue mission.

WWE announced the contents of their next DLC pack for Smackdown VS Raw 2009! And this pack will contain...Nothing!

Ok, that isn't true, here is who will be included.

Vader - playable Superstar
Earthquake - playable Superstar

Bushwhacker Butch - playable Superstar
Bushwhacker Luke - playable Superstar

That's right, two idiots, two fat guys, and a clown (sorry, but I always thought the bushwhackers were kind of stupid.) Not even the alternate costumes that were included in the first pack for PS3! Where is the love for the 360 owners WWE?

The first pack at least had good wrestlers included and it gave us 2 new tag teams (here is what we got, not counting the PS3 exclusives)

Evan Bourne - playable Superstar
Ted DiBiase Jr. - playable Superstar
Charlie Haas - playable Superstar
Chris Jericho - alternate attire

With Ted, we also got the Priceless Tag Team and Legacy stable, and with Charlie Hass, we can make the "World's Greatest Tag team" with Shelton Benjamin. Just had a random thought. Why haven't, or when will they, add hand-held games to the Virtual Console? Think about it, there are some great games for the original Gameboy and the Gameboy Color that can't be played on the DS (surprisingly enough it takes too much power to run the older games) and with the DSi out GBA games will get harder to play (the DSi has no GBA game slot, so no Guitar Hero games either.)

So why not release them on the VC. could add an options menu for the color of the games (original light green or dark green, GBC or Super Gameboy colors, full color, ect) and obviously change the resolution so it can be played on a bigger screen, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Chapter 3-1--Resident Evil 5

Not much to do in this level, but it was still pretty good. had to find pieces of a seal that locked the doors to a village, and those were scattered all over the map. So I had to go exploring to find them all. Didn't have to fight many Majini, but did have to avoid or fight a few Crocodiles, that killed me twice.

Got the pieces, got into the village, and had to fight a bunch of Majini, including a couple of tough ones with masks that were bullet proof and covered a lot of their body. Almost ran out of ammo and Sheva did (big shock there) but I managed to defeat them and max out my inventory collecting loot afterwards. After reading a diary about how the village was infected, it was time to take a Gondola to the

Chapter 2-3--Resident Evil 5

Seems the data file confirmed what I've been saying since the end of 4; the Majini are infected by Las Plagas. still not sure if it is a T-Virus/Plagas hybrid or not, but at least I was right.

Not a bad k\level, but it was spent almost entirely in the humvee shooting with a gun turret. and the target sight kept getting lost, so I spent half the level not knowing where I was shooting; I just tried pointing my gun in the right direction. when we got to Dela Teams location, a Gigante (or whatever they are called in this one) attacked. not as fun of a fight as the ones in 4, but he earned a few new moves. Unfortunatly he was rather easy to kill.

First, they finally get Mortal Kombat VS DC, almost 6 months after it first came out. and then they don't have Resident Evil 5 at Midnight! I should be eagerly anticipating fighting Zombies (or whatever they are called in this one) and finding out what the hell Wesker did to himself!

Seriously, they need to. If ever there was a game that deserved a movie, it's Legend Of Zelda. Have Peter Jackson direct it, divide Ocarina Of Time into two movies (one for Young Ling, one for Adult Link) and have a script ready for the sequel Majora's Mask ready, just in case. Not only that, but if the movies were a success, they could also do Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass (which are set in the distant future after Ocarina) and Twilight Princess (which I think takes place sometime in there).

Nintendo, if your listening, make you fans happy and apologize for Super Mario Bros by giving us a Legend Of Zelda Movie.

Yay!!!! I'm playing Temple Of Doom!

This was a fun level, not just because I got to use powers that I hadn't before (Willie's scream and Short Round's size) but I started out as a poisoned Indy and then got to roll around in the gong!

I also unlocked the "Short Round, Step On It!" achievement. Unfortunately I discovered that my perfect record with achievements being recorded is broken because the last 3 were unlocked while the Xbox was logged off of Xbox Live, so no date was registered. Doesn't matter though, because I record them here as well!

Temple Of The Grail--Lego Indiana Jones

This was a fun level, mainly because of something that has been present the whole game; they recreated the movie! They even have the invisible bridges for Indy to cross and the word spelling room.!

Beat the level (The Grail Knight was rather easy, but then again he is about 800 years old. in he movie he couldn't even pick up his sword) and completed Last Crusade and unlocked the "He chose...poorly" achievement.

Now onto the Temple Of Doom!

Desert Ambush--Lego Indiana jones

The person who wrote the Gamefaqs walk through (that's right, there is only one, and it's for the Wii version, but the games are the same) said he had a hard time getting True Adventurer in this one, but it was easy. the hardest part was just the high number you needed.

Before anyone says anything, yes, I have been using the Gamefaqs walk through. That way I know how many studs I need to get True Adventurer.

I unlocked the "No Ticket" achievement and have over a million studs!

Motorcycle Escape--Lego Indiana Jones

Holy crap was this one tough! or at least getting True Adventurer was. Between the cliff on one side, the tar pits in the road, mines, and at the end a bunch of rocket launchers firring at you, it took a few tries to get True Adventurer, but through some fancy foot work (and taking out all but one of the bazooka troops, meaning the rest can't respawn till I let them) and I was able to do it and beat the level, unlocking the "We're not going in the boat?" achievement.

The Hunt For Sir Richard--Lego Indiana Jones

In case any one is wondering, I did skip Temple Of Doom. It's not because i wanted to play them out of order (in which case I should have played Temple first) but because it's my favorite Indy film, so I'm saving it for last. That is why I am on Last Crusade now. might go in order during Free Play.

Not much fighting here. After teaming up with Brody and Elsa, I went through the library, got into the catacombs, and found Sir Richard. Then I had to fight Kazim (At least that is who I think the Fez guy is) and unlocked the "X Marks The Spot!" Achievement. Now on to the Castle to rescue Indy's dad.

I did mess up once. I wanted to wait until I got the game beaten to see how many Studs I collected, but I accidentally bought the "Secret Characters" Parcel. so I will have to add that amount to the total at the end of the game.

Pursuing The Ark--Lego Indiana Jones

This level was good and at the same time annoying. The first area was nice, with just a few enemies, lots of machine guns, rifles, wrenches, shovels, and stuff to break. I couldn't even get all of the studs since I need Short Round to get a few and someone wirh a bazooka, but I still got True Adventurer. In the first area!

The next one was a bit more annoying ans stupid. First was a section with infinite enemies and an idiot that ran the guard both. Apparently he didn't realize that, even though his guys were shooting at me and I unloaded a machine guy into his guys, I could go through the gate because I had the right hat on. you would think that he would have done something when I opened fire.

After that I had to deal with a Jumping Puzzle! I hate jumping puzzles! And the stupid AI didn't help any (the AI in this game has to be worse then in Lego Star Wars 1 and 2.

Oh well. level over and on to the next one. only unlocked the "I'm making this up as I go along" achievement this time.

Well Of Souls--Lego Indiana Jones

Jumping Puzzles. Why did it have to be Jumping Puzzles?

Ok, so there weren't too many jumping puzzles in this level, but since I hate them, I figured it would be an appropriate time to quote Indy.

This was actually kind of a cool level since, after finding the Ark, you switch from Sallah to Marion, they use the same area from when you first entered the well, just with a different camera position. Some games would have just made a different map but it was kind of cool to see stuff you couldn't do with Sallah and then end up there again with Marion and be able to get to them.

Over all, it was a fun level, and while the phobia thing was kind of annoying, it makes you actually use the other character for more then just whatever their speciality is.

In the end, I got 6 artifact pieces, unlocked the "Why did it have o be snakes?" achievement and the "I step on fortune cookie!" achievement, for killing 50 creepy crawlies.

Got to Cairo and the first thing I did was accidentally kill a few civilians.

After I took care of their angry friends, it was time to explore the city. only got one Artifact piece :( but I did get to run over a bunch of guys with a truck and shoot a bunch more. In fact I shot enough to get the "I Hate These Guys" Achievement and broke enough stuff to get "He no nuts. He Crazy!!" i also got Belloq's staff is too long" for beating the level.

On a side not, that is a really bad name for an achievement. I'm wondering how many gaming sites or comics have jokes about it written by people with dirty minds.

Into The Mountains--Lego Indiana Jones

Took me a while to beat this level. Not because it is really hard, but because I had to keep stopping for one reason or another. Stupid work and having to sleep.

Anyways, got through the level. had to do a lot of back tracking. actually I didn't, since I could have dug up the Snowmobile and blown up stuff during free play, but I wanted to. and by doing so, I got 5 Artifact pieces, and know where 2 more are. And I unlocked the "it's important Marion, trust Me" achievement.

Now back to killing Nazis...I mean Bad Guys.

The Lost Temple--Lego Indiana Jones

Got Lego Indianan Jones yesterday and started playing it last night.The first level is The Lost Temple, which I already beat in the demo, but oh well. Got to play it again so I can move on. After all. How else are you going to start Indiana Jones if it's not with Alfred Molina betraying Indy and then dieing?

Got through the level no problem. Got most of the Artifact Pieces too. couldn't find 3, but I'm guessing a few are in areas that you can only get to in free play with certain characters, like behind the silver wall in the Idol Room and near the Thugee statue.

So I beat the level, unlocked the rest of Raiders, as well as Temple and Crusade and I got the "There is nothing to fear here" achievement. I also got the "Got lost in his own museum" achievement while exploring the college.

Thought this was rather cool. Went to Walmart to get Halo 3 since they dropped the price but they were out so I got Eternal Sonata instead, as well as Saint's Row off the discount rack.

So I get home, pop them into the 360 and check out the achievments. There are only 22 of them in Eternal Sonata, and they are all Secret ones! No clues or nothing. While it sucks because you don't know what you have to do to unlock them, it's kind of cool because it makes it more suprising when you get one.

For those that might not know, I have been with out net access at home since I moved back in with my parents a few months ago. It was supposed to be only for a month or so, then a 6 foot drift formed in front of the building where all my crap is being stored. So it looks like I'm here to stay. At least until the drift melts and the ground is no longer a muddy swamp. In other words, sometime in June.

you know, when you practically live online, you don't realize how much you miss it till it's gone. Between being net less and having to move back home, I've actually been a bit depressed over the last few months. Fortunately that is over, with no annoying Insomnia, which usually follows any periods of depression for me :)

And don't worry my faithful Non-Existent Readers, I haven't been idle. While I didn't get much written during the time offline, I did get some posts written for both the Freak Show and the Game Journal and some stuff written for SPW, as well as some that I haven't written yet but will (and a few I forgot to date, so I will just put a "Sorry don't know when I wrote this" not at the top of those) and I will be posting those over the next week or so, retrodating them when I can.

All in all it's good to be back.

So I'm all moved back to my parents, at least for a while. It sucks because they don't have the net yet (I'm at the Fiend right now) everything went fine for a moving, but I think my dad and bro dropped the 360 :( I know the side of the box ripped and a lot fell out, but I'm knot sure. I do know that when I hooked it up in my room, all I got was 3 flashing reds. Last time that happened was when it upgraded to Xbox Experience. That time it started working fine soon afterwards. This time, nothing for about 2 days. And I remember reading that if it doesn't start working on it's own, it needs to be replaced. Problem is that will take at least 3 weeks, and I'm not sure where I will be living in 3 weeks. Could have it sent to my parents place, just in case I am still there, but I want to be able to use it as soon as I get it back in case I am somewhere else.

So I went out and got and Arcade. Some good stuff. 1.) came with 5 games (Boom Boom rocket, Feeding Frenzy 3, Luxor 2, Uno and Pacman Championship Edition) plus Sega Superstar Tennis. Luxor and Feeding Frenzy I don't really care about, and I never played Boom Boom Rocket, but I loved Pacman C.E. and have Uno already. Plus I wanted to get Sega Superstar tennis, so bonus.

2.) I have a second controller now. And it's wireless! so now Rae or Bugs (or anyone else) can play as well and I have a back up when I get a charger so I can keep playing when the batteries go dead in the old one.

And it's not a complete lose money wise. I plan on selling the console and cables on EBay when the Elite gets repaired. All in all, not a bad plan to get the Arcade.

Chris Jericho's Road To Wrestlemania--Smackdown VS Raw 2009

Was kind of nice to see Y2J competing as a face again. Made Jeff Hardy tap out of the Walls of Jericho to become part of a fatal fourway next week to see who will be #1 contender to the Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble. After the match, the lights went out, the Code footage aired, but it changed to something about terminating Jericho.

Before the big fatal fourway, I went after Finley, who apparently was poking around the production area. After making him tap during a Locker Room Brawl, he admit ed to [playing the code, but says he didn't make the video.

the Fatal Fourway was an elimination match. I eliminated Mr Kennedy about 4 minutes into the match. Shawn Micheal's and I worked together to eliminate Randy Orton, with me connecting with the Code Breaker and him following it up with Sweet Chin Music and getting the pin to eliminate Orton. That left Jericho and Micheal's. Busted Micheal's open with the Code Breaker and then made him tap out of the Walls Of Jericho for a chance to face Cena for the title at the Royal Rumble.

Teamed up with Jeff Hardy to take on Finley and Snitsky. after a tough match I busted Finley open with the Code Breaker and got the pin. For pinning Finley, I also unlocked the WCW Roster edit brand and the WCW Belt for exhibition matches.

Beat Shawn Micheal's rather easily after 2 quick Code Breakers. After the match the code returned, saying that a virus had been deployed and that I would be terminated at the Royal Rumble.

The match against Cena was going pretty good until a masked man entered the ring and attacked him, causing a DQ. he then attacked Cena and Jericho before leaving the ring. (I'm thinking it's Tony, Cena's friend from his Road To Wrestlemania.)

Shane McMahon booked me in a no DQ match against JBL. I decided to take out some frustrations on Bradshaw. Most of the match was outside of the ring, where I used a chair and sledge hammer, plus numerous Cosde Breakers and a DDT to bust him open before getting the pin.

Time to question some suspects. Shane was hiding something, but claimed it wasn't him. Finley said it wasn't him either and I believe him. Jeff Hardy claimed to be watching the match and then Shane booked me in a match against him. during the match the masked man walked out of the crowd and watched at ring side. I beat Jeff after a Superplex and chased after him but he got away. at least I know it's not Jeff. for beating him with out using a finisher, I unlocked Y2J's alt costume, from before he cut his hair.

Another week, another group to question. Shawn Micheal's said he was busy getting ready for the rumble (love the fact that they mention him lasting 42 minutes and losing to Undertaker, which is what happened in one off the greatest rumble moment's I've ever seen) went to question Randy Orton, but Shane walked in and said he had found someone without an alibi and that he was in the ring. Turns out it was Umaga, who is too big to be the masked man. went a little old school on Umaga, connecting with the Code Breaker outside of the ring and then the Lionsault to get the pin.

Week 3 of the investigation. Went to talk to Mr. Kennedy, who had a face mask with him. He claimed it was because he was from Green Bay and that it is cold there (He is actually from Minneapolis, even colder) and that he had a match against Jericho tonight. The match was Y2J and HBK teaming up against Kennedy and Orton in a tornado tag match. Spent most of the match beating the tar out of Kennedy outside of the ring, busting him open with the Code Breaker before rolling him into the pin and connecting with a second Code Breaker to get the pin.

At no way out I called out Orton, accusing him of being the masked man. The masked man walked down to the ring and I beat the snot out of him before removing his mask. before I could, Shane came out and sicced Snitsky and Umaga on me.

Interfered in Orton's match against Cena the next night, causing him to win by DQ, but got some good shots in so who cares.

The next week opened with the masked man attacking Cena backstage. He turned to run away but he ran right into Jericho. Busted a garbage can and a lead pipe over his head before connecting with the Code Breaker and pulling his mask off. I was right! The Masked man is Orton!.

Cena defended the title the next week on Raw against Orton. He asked for Jericho's help, which, except for helping him to the ring, was pointless because I couldn't do anything but watch as Orton won the title.

The next week, Orton said I could have a title match at Wrestlemania if I won a 6 man Battle Royal against 6 Masked men. Easily beat them. Next stop, Wrestlemania 24.

Time for Wrestlemania. I brutalized Orton in a No DQ Falls Count Anywhere match, attacking him with chairs, sledgehammers, barbed wire 2X4s, the ring steps, and the code breaker before making him trap out ot the Walls Of Jericho to become the new WWE Champion.

In addition the the Chris Jericho Story achievement, I also unlocked the Masked Man for exhibition matches.

United States Championship--Smackdown VS Raw 2009

Sent a message to the Smackdown roster as I beat the snot out of Festus before pinning him following the Ice Device. (1105 points, 5 Stars)

Busted Carlito open with the Evenflow DDT and got the pin after connecting with Sonic Rotation (960 points 4 Stars)

JBL wanted a rematch for the IC title at One Night Stand, but I destroyed him and got the win after connecting with Sonic Rotation twice. Unlocked the Outside Dive ability.

Beat Shelton Benjamin rather easily after connecting with the Ice Device (785 points 3 stars)

The match against Umaga was tough. He kicked out of the Sonic Rotation, when I busted him open with the Ice Device it pissed him off and he got bad. A second Sonic Rotation accidentally knocked out the ref, but a second Ice Device got me the win. (1565 points 5 Stars)

Took on Umaga again to determine the #1 contender to the United States Championship. I had to choose a manager so I chose my twin CM Punk (Inside joke) Umaga came out with Shelton Benjamin. Another decent match but I beat him after one Sonic Rotation. I also unlocked Single w/manager matches in career mode.(1030 Points, 5 Stars)

Time for Vengeance and to take the US title from MVP. Another W/Manager match and I again chose CM Punk as mine. MVP chose Chavo Guerrero. MVP kicked out of the Sonic Rotation on 2, but I finished him off with the Ice Device to become the United States Champion. I also unlocked the Dirty Pin ability. (1060 points, 5 Stars)
